Thinking about working in the Yukon’s tourism industry?
The Yukon Tourism Relocation Rebate Fund helps support out-of-territory students and recent graduates by covering a portion of their relocation costs to work in Yukon’s tourism sector.
Whether you’re a student on a seasonal placement or a new graduate starting your career, this pilot program can help reduce the relocation cost, including transportation and first-month accommodation — and open the door to unforgettable northern experiences..
Who is this program for?
This fund is open to current post-secondary students and recent graduates (within the past three years) from designated Canadian institutions who:
- Have relocated from outside the Yukon for a tourism job
- Complete at least 420 work hours in Yukon’s tourism sector between July 15, 2025 and January 31, 2026
This program is open to all Yukon tourism sectors: Food and Beverage, Accommodation, Wilderness Tourism, Arts & Culture, Sports & Events, Travel Services, and Transportation. Both seasonal placements and year-round roles are eligible.
This is a pilot program with limited annual funding, and not all applicants who meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be approved.

What’s covered?
Approved applicants may receive up to 80% of eligible relocation costs, to a maximum of $1,600 per person. Eligible expenses include:
- First month of accommodation in the Yukon
- One-way or round-trip flights between your home city and the Yukon
- Mileage reimbursement if driving from outside the territory, at $0.73/km (with proper documentation)
All relocation costs must be paid by the applicant upfront and will be reimbursed only after completing 420 work hours and documentation are verified.
