Indigenous Tourism Career Inspiration Presentation

August 21

TIA Yukon, in partnership with Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YFNED), Yukon First Nations Culture and Tourism Association (YFNCT) and Indigenous tourism professionals, delivers dedicated career presentations to highlight the unique role of Indigenous tourism in the Yukon. These sessions provide an opportunity for Indigenous youth and community members to hear from local Indigenous tourism professionals who share their cultural knowledge, personal career journeys, and the vital contributions of Indigenous tourism to the territory’s tourism ecosystem. Participants explore diverse roles in cultural interpretation, guiding, hospitality, and entrepreneurship—while learning how traditional knowledge and storytelling continue to shape meaningful visitor experiences. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to support inclusive workforce development and promote Indigenous leadership within Yukon’s tourism sector.
