As part of its ongoing Labour Market Development efforts, TIA Yukon has developed a new video resource to introduce post-secondary students and recent graduates across Canada to tourism careers in the Yukon.
The video features three tourism professionals who completed their post-secondary education elsewhere in Canada before relocating to the Yukon, where they continue to work and build their careers in the tourism industry.
In their own words, they share what brought them to the Yukon, what influenced their decision to relocate, and some of their experiences working and living here. Through these stories, the video is intended to help students and recent graduates see relocating to the Yukon — and building a tourism career here — as a more tangible possibility as they consider their next steps.
TIA Yukon will use the video as part of its ongoing outreach with post-secondary institutions across Canada, including Virtual Information Sessions, On-Campus Career Events, and other initiatives connecting emerging tourism professionals with the Yukon’s tourism industry.
TIA Yukon would like to thank Arctic Media Creation for bringing these stories to life, as well as Mount Sima, Northern Tales, and Sternwheeler Hotel for their support and participation in the project.
