DESCRIPTION:Join TIA Yukon for the second workshop in the Yukon Recruitment & Retention Taskforce Lunch & Learn series! This free series of lunch hour workshops will explore topics related to recruitment\, retention\, and training and will be open to all of Yukon’s business community. The YRRT Lunch & Learn is made in partnership with the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce and the Yukon Chamber of Commerce and funded by the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. \nLeading Multigenerational Teams\nToday’s workplaces often require leaders to consider the values\, expectations\, and characteristics of several generational groups. This session will help leaders gain greater understanding of the motivations and characteristics of different generations and explore strategies for meeting the challenges of leading multigenerational teams. \nWhat to expect: \n\nAn introduction to underlying causes for the complexities of leading multigenerational teams\nInput from guests with in-depth knowledge on specific needs of youth and older workers\nDiscussion and tips on successfully integrating\, managing\, and supporting workers from multiple generations\n\nThis session will be held through Zoom. Please register here. \nMeet Your Facilitator \nJean Abrahamson\, MATC\nJean’s professional background spans business ownership\, marketing\, sales\, communications\, health care\, and post-secondary teaching. She has held leadership positions in private and public sector organizations\, and she has hired and managed individuals from diverse backgrounds for a variety of unionized and non-unionized roles. Since 2008\, Jean has taught courses for current or aspiring leaders on topics including hiring\, managing performance\, and leading a multi-generational workforce. \n
