Yukon Culinary Tourism Strategy: Virtual Launch

POSTPONED – virtual launch of the Yukon Culinary Tourism Strategy on July 31

TIA Yukon has decided to postpone the virtual launch of the culinary strategy until a later time, when the state of emergency lifts. We still will be making the culinary strategy available for you coming Friday, July 31, but we will hold off the celebration until we can get together (virtually or in person) and give the culinary tourism the focus and attention it deserves!

Your Input Is Needed: Guiding The Re-opening Of Yukon’s Tourism Industry

TIA Yukon would like input from the Yukon’s tourism community as plans for Yukon’s re-opening strategy are being developed.

Those who are unable to join a session will be invited to send their feedback to TIA Yukon via email or video at info@youryukon.com latest by Thursday May 14, 2020. 3PM. You can find our questionnaire here.

What are the factors that need to be considered when looking at how your business, your sector, and the industry at large can get up and running again? What are the timelines to consider?

TIA Yukon is inviting tourism businesses and organizations to participate in a focus group series this week. This series will feature six zoom sessions, each of which will highlight a different segment of the industry.

Each session will allow for up to 15 participants and will be facilitated by TIA Yukon Board and staff. Sign-up will be on first come, first served basis.

The schedule is as follows:

Tours & Attractions: Tuesday, May 12 – 10am-11:30am **FULL**
Transportation: Tuesday, May 12 – 1pm-2:30pm
Travel Services: Wednesday, May 13 – 10am-11:30pm
Arts, Sports & Events: Wednesday, May 13 – 1pm-2:30pm
Accommodations: Thursday, May 14 – 10am-11:30am
Food & Beverage: Thursday, May 14 – 1pm-2:30pm

You are invited to sign up for the session that best fits your business. Please limit your choice to one session only.

To sign up, please email: info@youryukon.com and state which session you would like to join. We will send you the registration information and reference material.

Information from these sessions will be used to develop a high level guide to chart a path forward within the perimeters defined by the Chief Medical Officer of Health. It will dovetail with the general re-opening plan once it is announced, and identify needs that may not be incorporated into the plan, and which will require further support.

Those who are unable to join a session will be invited to send their feedback to TIA Yukon via email or video at info@youryukon.com latest by Thursday May 14, 2020. 3PM.
