High School Tourism Career Inspiration Sessions

Day 1 – Completed!

TIA Yukon successfully held Day 1 of its High School Tourism Career Inspiration Sessions, welcoming approximately 60 local high school students from Porter Creek Secondary School, F.H. Collins Secondary School, and Aurora Virtual School.

With the support of Air North, Fraserway RV, and the Yukon Transportation Museum, students had the opportunity to learn about these organizations, explore different roles within their operations, and discover the diverse career opportunities available in the Yukon’s tourism industry.

The next step is scheduled for November 24, when participating students will visit all three organizations to experience tourism workplaces firsthand and build on what they learned during the sessions.

A big thank you to our industry presenters, participating teachers and counsellors, the Department of Education, and all the students who joined us!
